Familiar to a neighbor. Harder to explain to a visitor.
That local knowledge is valuable. But a delivery rider, visitor, business contact or utility worker coming from outside may need several explanations to find the same place. Community services and responders may face similar location questions; any use in that setting would need separate validation.
Your place has a name.
PurokMaps aims to help homes, businesses, community places and landmarks have a simple, shareable digital address or location identity, tied to their actual location and recognizable local geography.
Home
Shareable digital address
A location identity to pass on when someone needs to find you.
Business
Easier to describe and find
A recognizable location for customers, pickups and services.
Community place
A reviewed local reference
A permitted landmark or public place checked with local knowledge.
Local knowledge
Human-readable directions
Familiar names and descriptions alongside the actual location.
Digital-address generation for homes and businesses is a core planned capability. It is not available here as a verified live production service.
What a clearer location could make easier
These are intended benefits to test, not measured outcomes or promises.
- Delivery and pickup arrangements
- Directions for visitors
- Helping local businesses be easier to find
- Clearer locations for services and appointments
- Less reliance on lengthy landmark explanations
- A shareable location identity for digital commerce and mapping
Location clarity may also be useful to responders and community services, subject to separate testing and agreements. PurokMaps does not promise improved emergency response, savings or government adoption.
From local knowledge to a shareable location
The intended model below guides development. It is not a released resident workflow.
- 01
Locate
Identify the actual place and its familiar local context.
- 02
Describe
Combine a digital location identity with understandable names and directions.
- 03
Review
Have an agreed local steward check permitted records and handle corrections.
- 04
Share and learn
Test whether a shareable description helps with an ordinary task, then correct what fails.
Starting small, learning locally
The proposed Cebu public-place pilot is an early validation step for the broader digital-addressing vision. Starting with permitted public places allows the team to test descriptions, community review and corrections before considering private home or business records.

A location identity is not an official house number, proof of ownership or residency, or proof of eligibility for services. Keep using official address information required by the relevant institution. Availability, coverage, pricing and participation terms still need confirmation.
