PurokMaps

FOR RESIDENTS

Your home is more
than a set of directions.

The vision is a location identity you can share, grounded in the place and names you know. Learning about PurokMaps does not require sharing your home location.

A familiar everyday moment

Illustrative scenario · planned capability

“Past the store, beside the old tree…”

That may be enough for a neighbor. A first-time visitor may need another call.

A shareable location, with familiar directions.

The intended experience would keep the local context while giving someone a clearer way to identify your place. No address is generated by this example.

What a clearer location could make easier

These are intended benefits to test, not measured outcomes or promises.

  • Delivery and pickup arrangements
  • Directions for visitors
  • Helping local businesses be easier to find
  • Clearer locations for services and appointments
  • Less reliance on lengthy landmark explanations
  • A shareable location identity for digital commerce and mapping

Location clarity may also be useful to responders and community services, subject to separate testing and agreements. PurokMaps does not promise improved emergency response, savings or government adoption.

Learn first. Choose freely.

The initial proposed pilot uses permitted public places. Participation should be voluntary. Before any resident enrollment, the team must explain device needs, supported coverage, costs or terms, who can see information, and how to correct or request removal of a record.

Do not post home coordinates, IDs or another person’s location in public comments. Sensitive places should stay out of public demonstrations.

A clear location is only one part of the journey

A location identity is not an official house number, proof of ownership or residency, or proof of eligibility for services. Keep using official address information required by the relevant institution. Availability, coverage, pricing and participation terms still need confirmation.
