PurokMaps

THE INTENDED MODEL

A place. A name.
A clearer way to share.

PurokMaps aims to help homes, businesses, community places and landmarks have a simple, shareable digital address or location identity, tied to their actual location and recognizable local geography.

From local knowledge to a shareable location

The intended model below guides development. It is not a released resident workflow.

  1. 01

    Locate

Identify the actual place and its familiar local context.

  2. 02

    Describe

Combine a digital location identity with understandable names and directions.

  3. 03

    Review

Have an agreed local steward check permitted records and handle corrections.

  4. 04

    Share and learn

Test whether a shareable description helps with an ordinary task, then correct what fails.

A description people can recognize

“Meet at the public meeting point beside the community hall.”

A location identity would anchor that familiar description to the intended place. This is a conceptual example, not a verified Cebu record or a generated address.

What we are building toward

Digital-address generation for homes and businesses is a core planned capability. It is not available here as a verified live production service.

Sharing options, QR downloads, offline use and messaging channels still need confirmation in a tested release.

Starting small, learning locally

The proposed Cebu public-place pilot is an early validation step for the broader digital-addressing vision. Starting with permitted public places allows the team to test descriptions, community review and corrections before considering private home or business records.

A clear location is only one part of the journey

A location identity is not an official house number, proof of ownership or residency, or proof of eligibility for services. Keep using official address information required by the relevant institution. Availability, coverage, pricing and participation terms still need confirmation.
