CEBU PILOT · IN PREPARATION

A small start for
a bigger vision.

The proposed Cebu pilot begins with ordinary public-place tasks, so local learning can shape a broader digital-addressing service for homes and businesses.

A Cebu starting point

Philippines · Cebu · San Remigio

Local names. Everyday meeting points.

The proposed starting context is San Remigio, Cebu, where the pilot would explore how familiar public-place names and descriptions help explain a destination.

Tacup, Gawaygaway, Lambusan and Tambongon are proposed focus areas, subject to local coordination. Their names do not indicate coverage, participation or endorsement.

Why begin with public places?

A limited, controlled task can reveal whether descriptions identify the intended place, whether local review catches mistakes and whether corrections reach the right person. Private household records are outside this initial public-place scope.

The proposed pilot sequence

  1. Coordinate locally

Agree a host, permitted places, user group and one useful task.

  2. Try and observe

Record completed and failed attempts, clarification questions and accessibility barriers.

  3. Review before expanding

Assess usefulness, errors, support workload and privacy needs before deciding what comes next.

Before invitations go out

Dates, venues, supported coverage and enrollment are not confirmed. A tested task, participation notice, review owner, staffed support and correction route must be ready first. No home-location submission is needed to learn about the proposal.
